Purpose of the role:
To be responsible for all aspects of client service for a group of real estate and private equity funds.
Responsibilities:
- For a select client group, being the principle contact with the Client and the Directors of the relevant boards in relation to accounting and administration aspects, and providing support to the Client Relationship Managers for the same for larger clients
- Liaising with lawyers, tax advisers, other administrators and regulatory authorities in relation to ad hoc transactions
- Managing the investor query flow and responding to complex queries that arise
- Reviewing and authorisation of payments and assisting with other general administrative matters
- Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external independent auditors in connection with the financial reporting process and sign-off, including assisting with the resolution of complex accounting matters and audit queries
- Preparation and/or review of client financial and investor reporting, including consolidations (for candidates who are qualified/studying towards an accounting qualification)
Skills required:
- Professional qualification or part qualified towards this qualification, including in the accountancy field (e.g. ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent) or chartered secretary (e.g. ICSA or equivalent)
- Ideally real estate or private equity accounting or administration exposure
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel (intermediate level)
