Purpose of the role:
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with the person to whom you report and the people who you manage and direct.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the Accountants, ensuring that all necessary activities and actions are identified, organised and undertaken in a timely, diligent and accurate manner
- Develop and maintain good professional relationships with each of the clients, ensuring that all communications, both written, verbal and face-to-face are handled in an appropriate professional and effective manner
- Review work undertaken by members of the Accounting team, including financials statements, and ensure these are fulfilled accurately and portray the professional service levels expected of the Fund Services
- Provide guidance to and act as a point of referral for members of the accounting team with regard to financial reporting matters
- Act as an ‘B’ signatory in respect of client affairs, which will include the authorisation of payments made over client bank accounts
- Develop the staff within the team via formal semi-annual appraisals and day-to-day coaching and performance management as required
Skills required:
- Have a good level of competency with Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Have a working knowledge of FrontInvest or a similar funds’ system will be an advantage
- Have experience of dealing with investment managers and delivering the levels of service that they and their investors expect
- Hold or be working towards an appropriate qualification (ACCA, ICSA, JFA etc.) and / or have a proven track record of working with similar clients
- Have the ability to work as a team member and be confident in leading a team
