Purpose of the role:
This role will include key person responsibility (Jersey MLRO and MLCO) of client entities to oversee the effectiveness of the AML/CFT controls and participate in enhancing the compliance & risk management framework for a growing Client AML Services business.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the Jersey Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for client entities
- Report to the client entity boards on Jersey AML/CFT and regulatory compliance systems, controls and regulatory developments
- Provide advisory support to the business, including senior management, on client risk and relevant regulatory issues
- Participate in monitoring compliance with and testing effectiveness of Jersey AML/CFT policies and procedures applicable to client entities on a risk-based approach
- Collaborate with broader Risk and Compliance team on execution and enhancement of the compliance program.
Skills required:
- Proven experience in a Compliance and/or Risk management position within a Jersey regulated TCB and/or Funds Services business and collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Solid understanding of the Jersey Private Fund Guide, Code of Practice for Certified Funds, Code of Practice for Fund Services Business and the Alternative Investment Funds Code of Practice and its implementation
- Experience of dealing with all aspects of Jersey AML/CFT and Regulatory Codes as it relates to client entities of a funds services business with experience also in trust company business considered preferable
- Experience of dealing with the identification, testing and implementation of systems, controls and policies and procedures to adequately meet the needs of regulated client entities
- Experience in dealing with funds business employees (and trust company business employees preferable) and of communicating effectively with boards on regulatory and business issues.
