Purpose of the role:
To manage a team and support the finance function of the company and its associated businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Group Operations functions in Finance including the centralised Accounts Payable team along with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with maintaining the day to day integrity of ledgers including the month end close process
- Assist with the review of payroll
- Work closely with other Managers in managing and mentoring team members
- Assist with statutory reporting, including VAT, GST and other tax returns
- Act as a reviewer and authoriser for payments
- Participate and assist with system, operational or process changes as required including process documentation
Skills required:
- Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant
- Proficient in the use of desktop programmes including: Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in a similar role within Finance/Legal office environment
- Strong leadership, management and influencing skills
- Able to build strong relationships with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders
- A champion of change within the work environment
