Purpose of the role:
This role is responsible for providing support to the Central Finance department with a focus on accounting and financial reporting. The Accounting assistant will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintain the general ledger and assist with the periodic financial reporting requirements within the Group.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies;
- Oversee data input of bookkeepers within the PGL Group;
- Assist with the implementation of the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, document reconciliations management accounts and financial statements;
Key skills:
- Experience of analytical and problem-solving;
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
